A Fun Way to Play Defense on Dynasty Mode

Since playing defense in Road to Glory is not as fun as it could be I decided to start as a defensive coordinator in Dynasty mode for the first time. I'm leaving the recruiting assistance on except for scholarship offers. Setting the all the defensive positions to a "LOW" priority hoping the CPU will focus on offense which I set to "MED" and "HIGH" depending on my teams needs. I'm really hoping that the AI is logical enough to target the position types I requested for each position (recieving/balanced/blocking etc..) I'm hoping this is a fun way to concentrate on the defensive side of the ball since you are required to recruit both sides, but all this depends on the AI logic..

Has anybody done this before? Am I giving the CPU AI too much credit, will it end up back-firing on me somehow?!

I played 4 seasons as oc nd left CPU to recruit and it did a fair job! Although I picked the first 20 players each season I wanted. CPU did a good job getting 5 or 6 of those and others!

Unless I'm HC, I let the computer recruit for me. Right now I'm DC of Kent St and computer doing a good job recruiting on it's own. Always play this way!
