The whole reversed or messed up sliders thing baffles me. I don't recall having issues on PS2 with sliders being so ineffective.

I just wish EA would come out and explain exactly what is going on there.

Try using base 0 sliders instead of base 50. I was having issues with crazy stats (60-40 scores) until I moved to base 0, build a set off your own experience, the slider makers do great work, use them as a platform to base where your talents lay.

Ultimately if it's the safeties/tight ends issue, trying to avoid those plays is a viable work around, I've actually gotten speed threshold and sliders at the point where that isn't as much of an issue (threshold at 30), since the safety will usually recover in time the ball is thrown.

Madden isn't leaps and bounds better than NCAA, they both are fairly solid games that are being hurt by a semi-major issue.
