Yah it is annoying. Maybe it might help to not let new users start threads until maybe 100 posts? I'm no mod for any site, so I could be way out on a limb.

There isn't a "him" in these sort of attacks. They are likely automated attacks. Just like a spam bot on twitter or automated spam texts, spam-bots can just register unlimited accounts via unlimited IP addresses and post links. I don't know enough about it to know the technology behind it, but it is completely automated. Usually a simple CAPTCHA test for account registration eliminates these things though, not sure if OS has something like that in place but they need it if they do not already.

Board loses a lot of its attraction when you've got to go three pages back to see legitimate threads from just that morning. Deleted posts need to be set to be removed from the boards, not still show as deleted.

I wonder if they can change it to were you register but a mod has to go over the registration and stuff before they can post. That way if it's like the same email domains they can deny and not have this happen. Just a thought. Course if it's from a well know email domain like hotmail, than it will be hard to do that. However if they kept trying to register after the ban you can probably tell it's the same person or bot doing it.
