Question about patches and uniform store

I'm an offline ps3 user.I have not downloaded any of the previous patches or tuners,as I don't play online and heard mixed results about the updates.
Anyway I'd like to get some of the new uniforms,can I just buy them from the PS store and use them in my game?
Or do I have to download the patches and tuners?
And If I download the newest patches and tuners will it mess up my game since I didn't download the first patches?
I'd much rather just buy em from the store and not download any patches or tuners but either way.

you have to download patch #2 because that is the patch that installs the uniform store in the NCAA menus.

that being said I don't know if you could delete the patch after buying the new uniforms...

that is a good question... it will probably try to make you download both patches at once.

hopefully someone else can give you a better answer on that or about deleting patches after you download them and what not.

When I get home from work I'll try downloading the patches and see what happens.Then maybe I can remove them if I want.

Maybe someone can answer this question.

Say I download the patch,buy the uniforms from the store and then delete the patches and tuners.Will I still have my uniforms or will they disappear when I delete the updates.
Just trying to figure out if I can get the new uniforms without the patches/tuners effecting my gameplay.
Heck I don't even know how to delete a patch or tuner,but I've read that you can do it. I'm not too savvy with the online stuff.Thanks
