NTSC controllers??

i have a NTSC console which i wish to use to play NCAA football as i cant get it normally here in Australia as we use PAL.
I have got it to turn on and it seems to work fine except my controller wont connect to it.

does anyone here know if i'll need to get a controller from the US because they seem to be different.

My controller connects fine to my PAL xbox and i've never had a problem.

all help appreciated

Re: NTSC controllers??

I have a US PS3 and can use Australian controllers with no problems (either the standard PS3 controllers or a third party controller from Dick Smith's). You shouldn't have to use the US PS3, though - I can run games from either country (the PS3 can play games with either format, but don't get me started on movies). One thing is the format of the saved files is different, so last year I wasn't able to export a draft class from the NTSC NCAA and have it recognized by a PAL Madden (everything else worked fine with Madden).
