I first thought this was some terrible glitch (and it probably is) but lately when this issue has cropped up it's happened in unusually beneficial ways; specifically it's happening late in games and to the AI, not me. My sliders are tough as balls so I'm not complaining.

No idea how to fix it but to restart the game. I hate this glitch more than the DB one.

I haven't seen this since the most recent patch either. I had it happen once to me and once to the CPU, had to just quit both games. It was the LG and one of the safeties. It still exists after the most recent patch, I just thankfully haven't seen it. It pretty much is impossible to move the ball without cheesing.

Maybe it's the system? I'm using PS3 and I know it's happening. Also I read that if you deleted the patches at one point then installed them again it's different then updating them. IDK
