I love this so much. My 91 SPD/91 ACC QB immediately tackled after a 3 yard scramble chased down by a 60/60 DT from behind. All due to people complaining about Scrambling QBs. Sprint=Auto-blockshed ftw (but only vs the user, CPU scrambles get a legit reaction time.)

Boom goes the dynamite!
I have finally forced myself to not hit the sprint trigger anymore. I am starting to get decent runs from my power RBs.

The squib kick thing is definite cheese. The ball physics in this game is so screwed up. The AI does not react properly (as in how a person would) which allows for the kicking team to exploit and negate the kicking game.

Four Verts, as I explained earlier, is one of those cheesy plays that cannot be stopped by scheme alone.

I will elaborate on that a bit. If a certain offensive play requires heavy User influence or manipulation on defense (given a competent defense) with the proper counter coverage to stop the play, it is cheese. The AI should be alone should be able to cover a play, even in user vs user.

Stick skills are still an important part, but so is the mind game of picking plays.

The game is so broken that I have given up on it. Maybe one day EA Tiburon will decide to do what EVERY other sports game has done, stop the gimmicks and make the game emulate its real world counterpart.
Running the same 2-3 plays over and over is not cheese. But it is definitely not sim. Same for a few other things you mentioned. It falls into the category of people I do not want to play.

So many "ignorants" think because it is not "cheese" that it makes it ok to do it in a "sim" league. Wrong.

Congrats, you have mastered 2 plays out of thousands. Great skill you have.....

Thats why you lay out specific rules.

My point is, someone is going to have to compromise on their ideals of sim, for example what do you consider sim?

Re: Cheesing/Cheating and Why?

Ok i have given this enough time to get a feel for where everyone is on this topic.

Personally as a coach of REAL LIFE football, i want my football games to REPLICATE what i do on Thursday and Friday Nights.

When I play users i don't want see guys dropping back 20 yards backwards. I don't want to see only curls, slants and flag routes on offense. I don't want to see Man Defense every play. I don't want to see press coverage every play. I don't want to see unrealistic no huddle. I don't want to see glitches and exploits

i don't want to see time savers, custom play books with shake routes and zone read only. I don't want to see users moving their LB back and forth hoping to shoot the game. I don't want to see nano blitzes, etc.

How hard is it to go about playing the game of football like you realistically see it.

i have never compromised my gaming morals. Its a video game. Whats the point in cheating an already broken game. Why not be a competitor and just play the game

Re: Cheesing/Cheating and Why?

What cracks me up is when people cheat and exploit, they have the nerve to go and trash talk the other person like they have actually done something. Had they never done the cheap stuff, they wouldn't be where they are.

While man defense is beatable, it is the most annoying thing to me in this years games. Its unrealistic and overpowering and only people with a brain and knowledge of the game of football know how to actually use zone coverage.

EA Sports tends to dumb down their games for the casual user instead of making that same user who exploits and needs the help step their KNOWLDGE of concepts and techniques of the game up.
