Auto fake-pitch in Dynasty, Auto reaction time in RTG? Frustrating and new

I was annoyed in dynasty that my RB insists on fake-pitching right before he gets nailed (arm out to side, never actually pitches it). Got tired of that and started WR RTG. Every play the reaction time is used, about half a second. Sometimes twice in the same play? Same controller for 2 years, no stuck buttons, not accidentally hitting any buttons. In fact as a RB in dynasty all I really do is get an elusive fast back and hold R1 to protect. Seems like my left analog movements are somehow triggering this craziness, especially when changing direction sharply. Really strange, it never happened in either mode before this month. Anybody having the same problem?

Yeah - your controller's going out. Mine does the same thing.

Oh man, your kidding!? Thanks for responding, I was starting to think I was the only one. I really hope it's that simple, I'll take your word for it.. I almost gave up on the game because of it!

I assume the original style controller is the best? Does anybody have an aftermarket controller that they like better than the original?
