Yes or no: will NCAA make the jump to next gen consoles?

I am getting really pessimistic about the NCAA series even being made for PS4/XBox720. I think the lawsuit is gonna keep EA away from risking a big investment, or perhaps the lawsuit will be resolved soon and I do not see it going EA's way. I would take an NCAA game with authentic teams and stadiums but generic players since I only play Dynasty mode, but I think EA knows that such a game would not sell well enough to be a financial success. This is bumming me out big time because i love college football above all other sports and enjoy the NCAA series despite it's faults.

Anyone else wanna weigh in on this?

I have the same fears you do. Right now I say no. I think we'll get one or two more on this gen of consoles (lawsuit results pending).

I might have misinterpreted this then. This was taken from the conference call from there 4th quarter earnings today, and not Destructoid.

I imagine the quote means for sure there will be an NCAA next year, it just doesn't say that it will be next-gen specifically. Which I don't see why it wouldn't if its on current-gen.

I really think there is a chance that NCAA 14 is the last college football video game, unless there is some resolution that sees players able to benefit from proceeds, and if that happens it may not be in EA's best financial interests to do it anyway.

I believe NCAA games will continue to be made until a ruling from a lawsuit denies them the ability to do so financially. With that said, I expect the same next-gen jump to occur where the first year is only Madden and then NCAA follows.
