All EA has to do is turn the tables on this and call those bringing the accusations to the stand and ask..."Do you tackle like that? Do you block like that? Do you run like that?"

Once they say, "No, I've never seen that kind of funky animation on the field," EA is cleared.

I bet we wouldn't hear from Ed Obannon if he was thriving in the NBA.

Not be an a-hole but this is exactly what EA gets for all the ish they pulled, karma is @%!*&, lol. I hope the NCAA is forced to change up some of the ways they do "business" as a result too.

As far as the future for NCAA football gaming, since the exclusive was ending this year anyway, hopefully another studio or even EA just creates a fully editable collegiate game, like EA should have been doing all along. It's not like EA did a good job of replicating college players or the NFL players, this gen anyway, which is probably the funniest, yet most disappointing part of that reveal. Basically EA should just handle the heavy lifting for making a collegiate football game, AI, teams, simulation logic, etc and give the community the tools to design the rest. The community is far better at "the rest" than EA has ever been, especially this gen, imo.

Yeah, that's why Oscar Robertson is part of the lawsuit. He really sucked in the NBA.

Am I right that if EA Sports had not put "classic teams" in it's college basketball game, this likely would have never happened?

Just reading what the end of the article stated.

The plaintiffs continue to seek class-action status, which could open up the lawsuit to more athletes and threaten the current NCAA model by exposing the defendants to billions of dollars in potential damages.

We'll see.

This lawsuit has far reaching complications for the NCAA, if these players get paid for being in a VG then why not for being on TV, jersey sales, etc..? This lawsuit will get dragged through our legal system for years, would not be too surprised to see it end up in the Supreme Court for a final ruling as to whether NCAA players should get paid. The NCAA and individual Universities have a hell of a lot more to lose than EA, it's peanuts comparatively.
