Players Tackle Too High

has anyone else noticed that a lot of tackles are attempted around the shoulders. running backs will break these every time and no one is ever taught to try and bring a guy down like that. not once have i seen a guy break down and attack the legs of a ball carrier when he is near the LOS. just something ive noticed a lot playing the demo

Re: Players Tackle Too High

I've noticed this too. Sometimes I'm able to tackle the ball carrier If I push down on the hit stick. Other times I make the tackle pushing up. In the Oklahoma drill I noticed I make the tackle with the LB all the time If I time up the hit just right.

Bad form on tackling or missed tackles.....yeah that sounds about right for today's college football.

I think this is a 'there are no low tackles at all' type problem more than a technique problem

Lower the Tackle Rating for CB's to "0" with high Hit Power, they will animate more leg tackles and/or shoulder hits which pushes the RB bounce off animation or unbalanced knock-down animation to animate.

Tackle rating drives upper or lower tackle animations.
The high Hit Power still pushes them to attempt big-hit attempts.

Re: Players Tackle Too High

They tackle too high, and anybody else notice how the animations still just play out sometimes instead? Like ill try to get another player to join in on the hit and instead of joining in they just bounce off a force field that still seems to be there and the animation will play thru instead... It's annoying.. Everything else is great but I'd rather see more physics then these animations..

Re: Players Tackle Too High

I tried pushing the stick down hoping the guy would attempt to take out the runner's legs (this was something that I know was in past games) but he still tried to tackle him high and got run over. It used to be that if you pushed the stick down they tried to take out the legs and if you moved it up they went for a big hit up top. I guess they got rid of that?
