Re: Speed?

Just tried 0, and didn't like it at all. The game speeds up a lot and it plays totally different. To me it plays like an arcade game at 0, players flying all around the field, the players seem to lose their weight feeling and everything is sped up.

It seems to render the already questionable defense useless, the last one to have the ball wins. Now everyone who touches the ball is dangerous.

Re: Speed?

I play on game "slow" game speed with a threshold of 40. I think it plays pretty well.

Re: Speed?

For NCAA13 I played at 0 on slow speed, but with the big change in the feel of the game this year I have already decided to make the move to normal but still tinkering what threshold to use.

It's basically like this...

Fresh = 100% of animation affects with 25% AI programming.
Varsity = 75% of animation affects with 50% AI programming.
AA = 50% of animation affects with 75% AI programming.
Heisman = 25% of animation affects with 100% AI programming.
(can't have 0% cause that mean off/not used and the game simply wouldn't function)

On Fresh, you will see the many of the Animation affects (ie difference in Speed/Acceleration of players), but a very dumb AI application.

On Heisman, you will get a better AI application, but minimized Animation affects (ie DAT getting caught on a break away)

No worries though!!!
We now know through Xan's Editor that there are some hidden Animation and AI fields that need to be turned on and/or adjusted.

Through this we are able to adjust the Animation and AI aspects individually and experience better AI gameplay as well as greater animation triggering.
Not everyone has 360 and no one ever seems to mention this when talking about the editor. So bringing it up is half pointless.

Because some don't have the ability because of choice of systems bought, it still doesn't negate the useful information that the editor allows.

Re: Speed?

Speed threshold feels best to me anywhere between 20 and 30.

Yeah that seems like the sweet spot. Still deciding between Slow and Normal for game speed.
