It's the only game I play on the Xbox and I have a good group of people that are in an OD with me so I'll continue but I won't be moving to the Next Gen.

Not even close IMO. I'm 38 and still playing 13 in a OD with 11 of my friends.

Also, from the amount of positive impressions from the demo, I'd say most agree that there's some fun to be had.

Re: NCAA, no excitement anymore?

Some people have been conditioned by EA for disappointment and don't want to get their hopes up.

Re: NCAA, no excitement anymore?

Glad to see I am not the only 35 yr old "geek" excited for this game. This time of year is somewhat a turning point for me when football becomes relevant again. After some time with the demo, I have to say this has been one of the more anticipated releases in the series that I am actually excited about. This game always gets me through the wait in July until camp opens up for the NFL and then its only 1 month until the season kicks off!

Re: NCAA, no excitement anymore?

I'm kind of in the same boat as the OP. I don't know if it's because I'm older or what, but I used to get giddy the days leading up to the release. It just doesn't do it for me anymore. This gen just started with a crappy foundation and they kept piling garbage on top of it. 13 was the first NCAA game I didn't purchase in 14 years and quite honestly I didn't miss it. I love college football, it's my favorite sport to watch, so maybe my expectations are unrealistically high for this series, but I can't help thinking back to how much fun I had with this series on the PS2. You would think on a far superior console they could at least match that level. Hopefully "next gen" will right the ship, but I remain a glass half empty guy.

Re: NCAA, no excitement anymore?

I'm older than everyone in here and I can't believe how much fun I'm having with the demo.

I haven't had this much fun with a EA football game demo in quite awhile. It's quite refreshing for a change.

Re: NCAA, no excitement anymore?

I'm stoked for the game. Really looking forward to jumping back into my dynasty. I think '14's going to be a nice refresher for people.

I'm really surprised no one has come to the boards with the game already in hand however. At least that's what i've been waiting for.

Come release day, the boards should blow up to some extent. I think with people getting their hands on the game early with season ticket, that being friday night, it tends to vary the excitement level/traffic on the board.
