XBox 360 NCAA 07



Things I find interesting from the very first NCAA to come out on 360
-the running forms/prototypes: They look way more natural than what we have in these recent NCAA games. Plus all players don't have the same running form.

-posture: Although the player models are horrid the posture is better than recent NCAA football games. There doesn't seem to be this hunchback running.

-no treadmill running: when the players step their feet to run, it actually looks like they take steps, contrary to the gliding/sliding effect of recent NCAA football games.

-they also already had head tracking in this game

Comment and tell me what you think of the running forms in this game. I think it would start an interesting discussion.

Lol man NCAA will have you doin that. My best memories from this game was when I first went into practice mode to return kicks. I would replay it over and over again just to watch the guy run from the side. The running forms were so beautiful. They took them off and had everyone using this same "decent" running form. Then the game developers complained saying that it wasn't realistic for everyone to run like a track star and gave us this terrible fat man running form. Ever since then....things just haven't been flowing right.

When the players run they look like they're robots!


While I will be first to admit its nowhere near perfect, I will say that I prefer the NCAA14 running animation over the one from 07.

This game would have been a good building block for the rest of the series. It got a lot of hate because it was lacking features, the engine was a solid effort for a 1st time on a new gen if they would've tried to keep improving that particular engine I think right now we would be in a different situation. If I remember right I think they used an improved version of the same engine on NCAA 08 then switched to something completely different from 09 onwards.

thats not on the 360, there is no way. NCAA 07 on the 360 was so stripped down.

As far as running in a straight line goes, I'll take 07. 14 has the cutting (that still really needs some work badly) but the foundation of 07 running forms would be a great building block.
