progression is a problem cause the players come in rated way too high.

I don't think it was much of a problem in years past. Its different in this version though because the in-season progression has been buffed to the extreme. My 81 ovr Wyoming Junior (RS) QB is a 95 his senior season lol. He gains points every few weeks it seems. The lack of a potential rating and the in-season progression buff is what is the problem.

I wonder if default head coaches being low for a lot of big programs is a problem. For instance, Muschamp is only level 8 and he has no points at all in the opener and closer skills. I'm editing coaches to put points into those skills based on prestige (I moved Muschamp up to level 14 so I could add 3 points to both of those skills to max them out to represent Florida being a 6 star). I'm going to see what effect that has.
^This is exactly what I was talking about on page 1. Can't get on my console to check this out. I look forward to seeing what you found.

Simmed to week 11, haven't noticed a big difference honestly. Still a huge number of 4 stars at all positions in the 10 and 20% range. I think the problem is simply too many recruits for the class sizes.

That's unfortunate. I was hoping we could work around it that way.

It doesn't take away much from the point of this thread, but I will mention that Nebraska got one of their recruits to commit and moved the 500 points over to the WR I talked about in the first post.

They came back and snagged him on signing day !

I might try maxing those skills for every hc at some point just to see what it does

Re: The root of the 'too many good players get unrecruited' problem

I haven't read the entire thread, forgive me if this has been stated. But I think the problem is single player Dynasty.

I started looking around week four or five, and there aren't that many 4 and 5 star guys that are underrecruited. I mean, there are if you the only human. But if you have six or eight players in your dynasty and all know this, you'll be fighting over the same players and you'll each get two or three of these guys tops. You might be lucky to get one "underrecruited" player. It changes the whole dynamic, and maybe that was the target.
