With time at a premium for me right now season mode initially looks like fun with no off field tasks which I just don't have the time for right now. I was thinking of even playing along with the season week to week, playing a current week's game before it's played.

Is anyone playing season mode now and having fun? I'm hoping you can at least customize your schedule a bit to get FCS teams off, can you do that?

I am, always do. I can no longer play games to my heart's content so, I devote the gaming time I do have to one season with no offseason stuff. When I finish with one team I start a new season with a different one.

I am not sure on the schedule thing. I thought I noticed this year you could not alter it, at least in season mode.

I guess if I can't customize my season schedule I can just play dynasty mode and skip the recruiting. I really don't want to play FCS ????

for the record if you wanted to you can play all the games in dynasty mode too.

I've got to be honest, I completely forgot they even added this 'Game Mode' in the game this year.

Yes. I love this feature. I have completed two seasons now with Boise State. This is a great way to get the game play the way you want it before delving into Dynasty. Going to do one more with my newly created custom playbook, then should be ready for Dynasty.
