I'm pretty sure that LSU team beat like 7-8 top 25 teams on the way to the national title game that season. OKST was in no way better. LSU would have crushed OKST as they would have put up 40-50 points on them and held them to like 20-27 points like they did Oregon earlier in the season.

He meant that USC was #1 in both polls when the teams were selected for the BCS Bowls. They were #3 in the BCS despite being #1 in the AP poll and coaches poll, which is what kept them out of the title game.

Its about WHEN you lose. Lose the final week of the season as the number 2 or 3, and u probably won't make it.

Yeah, Iowa St. who beat Okie St. with a running attack.....a running attack and a defense far inferior to that of both Lsu and Alabama. I swear, some people have such a hate for the Sec that they delude themselves with the craziest "facts.......in their own minds". lol

Stanford was probably the only team that could have given LSU or Bama a run for their money that year. Stylistically, they matched up nicely.

Are we talking about the same BAMA that lost to LSU........Than they proceeded to beat LSU so your argument kinda folded on itself.......Ok. State had one bad game which happens often in College football. and i know this will get a ton of Iowa state isn't BAMA.......true but BAMA's offense was nowhere near what Ok. States offense was
