Those of you that are running mostly man, what school are you using and/or if you're past the first season what are your cornerback ratings?

Re: Do You Play Man To Man Or Zone On Pass Coverage...?

Cover Two Man out of the 3-3-5 or Nickel is virtually the only play I have any faith in. On obvious passing down I audible the blitzing backer to a shallow zone over the middle

I don't know if I'd go so far as to say it actually works... lol... it's more like it's just not as blatantly horrid as man-2-man with low AWR/ZCV/MCV DBs & LBs.

Lesser of two evils and all that jazz...

Re: Do You Play Man To Man Or Zone On Pass Coverage...?

All depends on how good the TE or HB are on the other team.

If the TE is a top notch receiver, I go man with a CB on him. That's usually the position that kills me because how horrid the defensive AI can be.

If the HB is a skilled receiver that a team likes to throw to out of the Shotgun (think DAT, Malena on TAMU, Carey on Arizona), I will go zone, keeping corners in the flat on the side they line up on. Then just hope to hell receivers drop balls on the outside.

Re: Do You Play Man To Man Or Zone On Pass Coverage...?

I run a lot of man with one safety deep another safety playing the shorter zone in the middle to help with the crossing routes (Robber out of Nickel). I do switch it up and run some different zone blitzes and straight up zone coverages. A lot of what I run depends on the situation, but I would call that Robber play out of the Nickel my base defense.

I like how changing up your defense in this game plays well. Older versions of NCAA I felt like if I changed my defense up it would hurt me.

I only play vs. CPU in offline dynasty.

Probably play man 90+%. Try some zone in red zone.

I struggle with mobile QBs and spread option teams. A&M and SC really torched me, but I had Bama shut out until the last two minutes.
