Disappointing.. While I probably wouldn't be effective with it, the novelty of running it would have been something. I don't believe wvu has any shovel option plays either?

good read on why the play worked so well

Also in that link they describe the play Steadman Bailey ran to score a 87 yard TD from an undercut Wheel route. Don't think that's in there either? Guessing you'd need to "create" it through pre snap audibles?

It is a cool play and I would love for it to be in the game, but it would work almost exactly the same as a Jet Sweep out of the Shotgun formations. If you are looking to recreate the play as closely as possible, look for Jet Sweeps like the one out of Shotgun Spread Flex.

You could possibly try a shovel option and just use the other option as a blocker to mimic it.
