I didn't notice this my first day playing, but today, when I pitch the ball on the option, about half the time the player that catches the pitch basically stops in his tracks for a split second to allow the defense to tackle him without being able to pick up any yards. Am I doing something wrong here? It's not like I'm not pushing the thumbstick in a direction. My player just slows down, which basically renders the option useless unless he's completely wide open. And even then, the defense is able to catch him pretty easily.

Not really sure lol. I'm using Oregon's playbook. There's so many Shotgun formations I don't know which is which.

Yup, I found it happens the most out of shotgun. That's part of the reason why I've been using pistol as my base offense for a while now. That, and pistol has some mean downhill running formations.

I'm having the same thing happen on pitches and some WR screen plays as well.

It sounds like the RB bog - but most people play on normal speed. I know issue occurs on slow and very slow....
