Can you still get invited to a conference?

I remember in games past you could play with the smaller schools and eventually get invited into one of the bigger conferences. Is this still the case or have they removed that option because you can customize the conferences now?. I don't recall seeing it last season either, but I didn't play a lot unfortunately

no they took it out. You can realign conferences yourselves now.

With custom conferences in each of the last two releases, there are no conference invites as there is no need for them.

Thanks for the responses, kinda figured they were gone, but was hoping they would be. Customizing the conferences is cool, but there was something fun about actually earning an invite from a big conference.

That may be true, but remember that when you got an invite another team got kicked out. Now at least you can make conferences bigger. In my opinion its more realistic if you can change it yourself and add new slots.
