Will someone else make a CFB game?

this came out this gen.

I thought 2k's engine that came out with their pro game might lead to something but it was garbage and they dropped further develpment.

Obviously there is money to be made otherwise EA wouldn't be in the market anymore or maybe that recently changed. It is possible they may jump back after changes are made following this lawsuit, but the money has to be there. If it's not then it will be very unlikely we will see a NCAA video game ever again.

All we can do is hope. Sadly we and loyal fans are the ones who suffer the most in situations like this. We put out the cash and make this project successful, and we are also the ones kicked in the face when someone doesn't like it.

Maybe someone can put together a KickStarter and develop a Football game that allows for the Modding Community to generate all of this content for free. Or EA Sports could release Madden or NCAA Football on the PC and let the Modding Community go wild.

I hope not. Believe it or not, I think EA makes the best football games. If they could just make some minor tweaks they would have the best CFB series ever.

Probably not. I know it's not happening but it'd be cool to see 2K do College Football. I know there is no chance that happens.

Their games are 90% towards being truly great games, on par with Borderlands, Diablo 2 or Assassin's Creed. But the 10% they fall short ruins the entire experience. I don't know if it's a poor testing system, or just not caring. The foundation is always there. They just can't seem to finish the drive.

They'd still need to get licensing rights for every school, conference etc. and I highly doubt that those entities would allow them to use their trademarks for free, whether they are selling the game or giving it away.
