Coordinators leaving?

Is there a way to stop my OC and DC from leaving every time i have a good season? I want to a get to a point where i have a stable coaching staff and all my coaches are fully upgraded, but it seems impossible lol. Am i missing something or that just the way it is?

Just the way it is unfortunately. The DC I was handed at the outset left as a 10 overall. In came a fully maxed out Dave Doeren as DC. Yay. I had a great season, 11-2, best defensive team so far in '14. He left in the offseason, after 1 year to take a HC job. Got stuck with a DC who needed to be built up again.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, the price for having a successful season is losing your coordinators. But if anyone has a workaround, I'd be glad to hear (I'm in 2016 in a Penn State dynasty, and the Offensive Coordinator is maxed out).

Well that sucks...

Kinda of dumb tbh, this game is a little crazy with the whole coaching carousel thing. The idea is nice, but it should relax a little.

The leaving doesn't bother me so much as the fact that as the coach I have no say in the replacement or list of candidates. It's just a random selection that can end up sticking you with a lousy DC or a gem DC. You just never know.

Wishing EA would change something the the following year's release is beating a dead horse with a stick. But it would have been cool, and realistic to hire your own Coordinators if you are the Head Coach. I mean, they do that in real life. The Head Coaches chose their assistants.
