Yes, I think there will be a College Football game in the next few years. No team names or player names, just a fully customized game. Someone would make a lot of money and wouldn't have to license much. I wish Ian Cummings would get some guys together to create one.

first thing i heard on fox news when i got to work this morning, was talk of the national championship game, and the need to be compensating players.

once that's off and running i'd guess the game will be back.

I'm all for compensating the players but how much should they make? Should they make more than swimmer, lacrosse and field hockey student athletes? Think they have legal issues now, just wait until the debate team demands that they get compensated too.

I can understand if all of the student athletes get paid - maybe from tv revenue from all NCAA sports that are televised. I think there'd be hell to pay if only certain student athletes got compensated.

Back to the game though. .... it can be done if there is a compromise.

It's possible that their ability to do so was limited by the existing licensing agreement. If that agreement was worded such that EA was only authorized to use NCAA properties on 360 and PS3, there would be no way to make a next-gen port.

Obviously, this is pure speculation on my part, but I've got to think that if EA could easily port the game over they would do so to squeeze every last penny out of this franchise.

Players are getting to FREE room and board and a college education. They ARE being compensated. Make them pay for that crap for one year and no more talk of compensation.
