Longest tenure as coordinator

What's the longest any of you guys has played as a coordinator before taking your first head coaching job?

Just curious because I'm currently playing as an OC and am waiting for my coach to level up fairly high before I take my first job.

I think I waited 4 years my first time. I just wasn't getting any offers I liked thats why I waited so long.

I was an OC for five before taking my first HC position at Wyoming. I was an OC with UAB for 3 years and Cal for 2.

3 years, 2 at Texas State and one at Auburn. Got the job at UTSA who went 0-12.

Wow, I was expecting u guys to wait a lot longer than that.

I'm trying to play it a lil more realistically. I'm in year 5 (1st year with Temple) (first 4 with Tx St) and I plan on playing a few more before I take my first HC job. I have coach progression on slowest as well.

Six years my first time (NCAA 12, i believe). 3 at Rutgers, 3 at Clemson before landing App State HC.

But the more dynasties I play, the less time I spend as an OC. My first NCAA14 dynasty, I spent 1 year at a teambuilder school, 2 years at Alabama, then got offered the Oklahoma HC. A little less realistic than I liked, but I couldn't pass up the chance.

My current dynasty, I was Northern Illinois OC for 1 season, then accepted the HC position after Carey left for Arkansas.

In NCAA 13 I believe that I was the offensive coordinator at Rutgers for 6 years. I spent two years with them still in the Big East, and then I got some really good recruits and wanted to try being in the Big Ten. I didn't leave until I won the Rose Bowl in that final season.

I took a HC job at Iowa State after that.

I just started my 8th season as the OC for Indiana, I have yet to do anything major as an OC and i havent gotten any decent job offers. I am playing a coach mode dynasty and loving it!
