Remember when....

Here's a 'remember when' I always bring up in nostalgia threads. Remember when recruiting was all done in the offseason? I loved it. I'd play 11-12 games (seasons were shorter back then) with no interruption, and then just spend a few hours recruiting. I really looked forward to recruiting season back then.

Actually I remember the REAL old days too, where recruiting was picking one of three players to try and get and you either got him or didn't. Didn't know any better at the time and it was still fun.

On defense, I really wish that I didn't lose control of my player the *instant* that the play is whistled dead. I know it's not very sportsmanlike of me, but there are those moments where I really want to tee-off on someone! Yes, I want to execute a late hit, and I'm fully prepared to accept the consequences.

I remember the first time you had to recruit during the season. I was like, "This is too much!". Because I was so used to all recruiting done post-season. Now, I've grown accustomed to it and couldn't imagine going back.

I really miss the loud meter and the high-stepping. As far as endzone celebrations go, I never cared that much for them. I'm fine with the handful of celebrations EA provided in 14.
