Love those videos. With the findings in this thread, are there global edits to be made to all players to yield these results or would you have to go in and edit everyone individually?

I personally have never used the editor....

I like to individually rate each player since I work exclusively on classic teams only.

The longest one I've seen was 40 something yards. It was with my 30 Year set and The Deuce got loose and nearly scored.

Other than that 8-20 yard average. Sometimes I'll see a 20 yarder but its rare.

Hi Playmakers: If you reduce the Punter and Kickoff Kicking distances, you will see long punt returns and long KO returns - some for TDs.

I think that TommyCoa is on the right track - you need to generally reduce ratings to get more game play variation.

Right now I have Punt Power at 0 and Kickoff at 50 for the game play sliders

Are you saying we should lower the Kick Power ratings across the boards to improve the return game?

I'm also thinking of editing the IMPACT Blocking ratings of DB's, LB's and TE's who play on special teams

Just yesterday I mentioned this to Art. It seems pretty random the way the CPU picks players for special teams. But I've never looked into it too deep. There may be something there.

Who is usually assigned the position o high jumper on Field Goal attempts. Maybe if we maxed out the Jump rating a block could be had. Hadn't had a chance to play the game in a while. It will be this weekend before i do any testing but i'd like to see the high jumper maxed out and the Kicker's strength at 0. Maybe it could possibly change the trajectory of kicks and punts as gotmadskilz pointed out about the Strength rating and QB throwing power.

Art has done some quality work with the Editor. He mass edited last years seasonal roster and it was outstanding. Lots of overthrown balls and scrambling QBs that moved around in the pocket but didn't take off down field at the first sense of pressure. His work on Special Teams is fantastic. Maybe he can post a file so you can see his work. It was unpredictable. He's even got it to where PATs aren't a given.
