I'm not trying to bust your balls or anything. I'm can just tell you from personal experience at E3. It takes a day away from it to really decompress and put all the info down. It's really something to experience.

stick an intern in the ea sports tent for three days, give him a list of yes or no questions to figure out by asking or checking by playing the game. i don't think most are looking for a clever article, i'd personally prefer one that read like this:

expanded rosters?

Adidas uniforms as well as nike?
yes.

then at the end of known questions, give tid bits most have not thought of. to give the guy a break though, he's probably had enough with the whole e3 experience and is ready to get the hell out of there.

Other editors write Sports Game reviews (Hil Goldstein, etc...) but that area is Jon's.
