That's why they call it an "option"!!! If you want to keep that idiotic poll bowl system, then more power to you, go ahead. I will decide my championship on the field if I have the choice.

the reason they'll never have a tournament or a bracket is because they'll lose to much money...plain and simple the reason they don't have playoffs right now is the money, but i can see them adding like a 4 team playoff later down the road, the problem is the best team isn't always in the top 4

I respectfully disagree with you on the "losing money" factor. I proposed a sixteen team tourny with seven already existing bowls and one home playoff round. The other bowls can STILL HAPPEN. They will get just as much attention as they already do...the teams' fans will still care just as much, and they are the only ones who care anyway. Take the Houston Bowl...who cared outside of Navy and Texas Tech what happened there? Or even the Holiday Bowl (which your Longhorns tend to make a post-season home...no slam there, my Ags haven't seen a bowl in two years) it tends to be the most exciting bowl game every year between the PAC 10 and the Big XII...but I only see the game if I am flipping the channels by accident.
Let's face it, the "also-ran" bowls have already lost intrest since the BCS started with poor ratings and half empty stadiums. My proposal would not eliminate bowls, just add a home game for the top 8 and create much more of a buzz for all of the bowl games involved. Even the BCS bowls that are not for the championship have lost luster in recent years. Last year we cared about BOTH the Sugar and Rose because of USC and LSU, but what about the Fiesta and Orange??? who cared there?

I kinda like the BCS in NCAA FB games, while it sucks it's kinda cool to get screwed over by the BCS, just like real life

Thanks for the link, but if the playoffs are not in dynasty mode than they really don't help much for the problem that was stated (ie North Texas, Colorado State, Fresno State, Marshall powerhouses)

What other mode would they be in? If it wasn't in dynasty mode, it would be called a tournament option, not a playoff option.
