Need Help.... Xbox Live

Alright guys im in need of some major help....

I just bought a Xbox Live Starter Kit for 69.99, a lot of mooo-lah. I just cant seem however to get this thing to work.

I have a 4 port router from D-Link, the # is (DI-604) and i already checked to see if it was Xbox Compatible and it is. I have 3 comps hooked up to it and a ethernet cord that goes in to my xbox. I have cable(Roadrunner) for internet so i dont know why it aint workin....

Everytime i go to Xbox Live on the xbox it says it cant connect. Ive looked at xbox.com/connect for help and tried some things but it still wont work, if u have any knowledge about this please help me b/c im switching to xbox from ps2 for NCAA 05 and Madden 05.

If your router is using DHCP, did you check the network settings on the Xbox and make sure it was set to DHCP instead of Static?

Ok when i try to connect it keeps saying it needs to restart to connect to Xbox Live and then it says Xbox Live is not responding please try again later....

I looked under network setting but i couldnt find where i was supposed to type it in man.... it just asks for ip addresses and stuff. If you could like explain where to go please.

You don't type anything in, you set everything to auto.

I had everything set to automatic the first couple times i tried to connect bdunn and it said the exact same thing....

"Xbox Live is not responding please try again later"

Check your cables ect, make sure everything is secure.. Also make sure your router is set to DHCP.

Also look at your router and make sure the port is lit up thats your xbox is connected too.
