Homefield will make the game a lot better and lead to other things being better like having experienced Seniors will be all that much more important now.

Thank You! I keep trying to get that point across. People look at one "feature" and comment on it not taking into account all it will affect.

The only thing that bugs me about HFA so far is how much they are advertising about it and showing the same scenes...it does make it seem gimmicky. But if you take a second to get past the advertising and think about all it entails, it is rather impressing.

HFA affects and/or is affected by:

1. player composure on both sides of the ball
2. stadium size and fan support (actually means something now)
3. audibles/hot routes
4. If you are one who likes to throw bombs on all downs....Good Luck with that
5. Seniors actually mean something
6. Not sure but being in top 25 stadiums may affect recruiting?

I know theres more but I have just woken up and have to run to DMV...

Camera shaking = dont care.

Players who cant hear the signals = cute, but could get old fast.

Crowd getting very loud = absolute necessity.

Players losing their nerve and losing ratings = nice feature, adds realism.

I agree with you on everything except the camera shaking...I loved that part.

Love this feature, definitely adds a touch of realism, and it is not FLUFF so to speak.

Re: homefield...who cares?

while not being able to audible at some points might seem trivial, imagine late in a game you see your play won't work with the D, and can't easily change it. I don't know if they'll let you do a total audible vs the hot routes, but then you'd have to call a timeout like real life...

I like the idea of audibles failing and losing composure a lot. It makes things realistic. I can deal with controller vibration but I really, really hope that you can turn off the screen shake. Its one of those things that is cute the first time but would get more and more annoying.

Re: homefield...who cares?

This feature and rotating conference schedules are definitely big upgrades for me at least. HFA and atmostphere are the main things that separate college and pro football. In the NFL, you can go 8-8 or 9-7 to make the playoffs and play for the title. In college, you gotta go undefeated (or lose 1 game) which makes every game do-or-die. And when 2 teams are evenly matched and it's a close game, it usually comes down to HFA and player composure.

As Santa Moss said, "Big time players make big time plays."

If you look at the game as a ten year project a lot of the things they are adding now are things that will be polished each year. Baby steps are required. Look at dynasty mode now compared to when it was first realized.
