The only way it will happen is if somehow some legal boilerplate into every school's scholarship offer so every athlete signs the same thing NFL players are subject to as part of union membership.

That's the only way I see around it.

Most players are on scholarships, but they will need to have a clause in there for walkons too.

It's a shame because I preferred NCAA with teambuilder over Madden but the lawsuits have brought this and all other college video games to an end.

The players get $74 dollars. The article didn't say how much the lawyers are getting.

Too much money for the games to end, especially with the playoffs last year being the most watched college football ever in terms of money and ratings. With a random player generator lawsuits wouldn't have any merit.

I wonder if a legitimate argument could be made about the inclusion of a player editor in the game subverting the legal mandate? I sure hope that wouldn't be the case.

They don't have the NCAA license. They lost it after 14 came out.

They still have the license, just not exclusivity

No they don't they lost the NCAA license after 14 came out. They can still make a generic college football game though. The NCAA cut ties with EA in July of 2013.
