OK, this slowdown issue

Is this slowdown something that only happens at certain times (like say, during runs or in-between plays) OR is it just generally that the overall play is a bit slower than last year?

Nothing bugs me more than to be playing and to have players running normal and then all of a sudden they are creeping along just before being tackled. One football VG I played once did that, but can't remember which.

From what I saw, it looked like it was during running plays for the XBOX. It's early though, IGN was not playing the final build of the game. Take that for what it's worth.
