Nope, I want to discuss people not being satisfied with a mediocre product. I'm tired of the "something is better than nothing" stuff. Settling for mediocrity just gives us more mediocrity. And attacking people at bellyachers is part of the problem. The games are not what they could be. Until then, people have a right to complain about it. Especially then they're being charged full price.

EA would not give up on one of their biggest titles, a proven seller. So, the former is most likely to happen. If not, someone else would make the game.

These exclusive contracts have done more to harm the quality of football games than anything. I hope that 2K or someone else decides to jump in once the dust settles on this likeness thing. Competition is the only way EA will put in a big effort once again.

I'm sure if you have the video game design savvy to add all those new features in a game that is completely free of bugs, has 100% life-like game play, and would still cost $60, then EA will gladly hire you.

The game isn't perfect, and even if it comes back it never will be. In any case, marginal improvements in game play/physics and updated conferences/stadiums/playbooks with the playoff system would still be a damn fine game and worth buying, IMO.

Re: When NCAA Football returns, don't just be happy to have it

Many other game companies release bigger games with lots of depth and without skimping on features. Bugs happen and that's fine as long as they're fixed in a timely manner.

Not asking for perfection. Far from it. Just real effort, not full-price for updates that could be done by a mod community in about a week. No one should not be happy with paying $60 for $20 worth of improvements, at most. It'sfine if all want to do is make slight physics tweaks, updated rosters, playbooks, teams, conferences, stadiums, and uniforms, and some small tweaks to other modes, so long as they don't charge $60. A $60 game is one that's been fully or mostly rebuilt from the ground up, everything redone and improved dramatically. That's how it works for any other game out there, and when it doesn't, those companies get sh!t for it, like they should. But as long as their gravy train, $60 for minimal improvements is available, they'll ride it.

If you keep saying stuff like this, then no one is gonna take you seriously.

If you truly believe this, then no one should take you seriously.

Have you ever seen what mod communities can do? I can't take you seriously if you believe it's not true that a mod community could do what they do in a very quick amount of time. Hell, better rosters are usually available day 1.

EA fleeces you when you buy the game every year without regard to quality.

Maybe you don't realize what you said so I want to make sure we're understanding each other.

You said that a mod community could take NCAA'13, spend a week with it and make a it just as good as NCAA'14.

Is that what you believe?

And yes, I've played a lot of RPGs on PC so I'm very aware of what great mod communities can do.

I think it's time for me to bow out of this conversation as you have no grip on reality.
