What is the big deal about ROSTER downloads, etc.?

and also playing the computer cannot replicate playing a human opponent. Back when i was in college I thought I was pretty good at Madden, until I started playing H2H more.

Same here. Thought I was pretty good, got online and saw that I wasent as good as I thought. Human players are a lot better then computer..well most of them

I suck at madden online, but I could hold my own last year in NCAA.

Wonder why that would be Bdunn...didnt squid say the same? Seems like if your good at NCAA you should be at least okay at Madden. I could understand being good say at NCAA and "sucking: at ESPN because how the controls are...But I never played NCAA or Madden online(except for like 4 times with dial up on PS2 ) so I really cant speak on it .

The gameplay within the 2 games is completely different to me. Then there is the college vs pro style defenses. The defenses in Madden are much for difficult to read and react to to me.
