i'm not talking about call a play then snap the ball and let the cpu execute, i'm talking about a real, actual coach only mode where you just call the play and you don't even have the option of controlling the players. for online play it's needed cuz you don't know if the other guy will cheat and take over his players if things aren't going his way. not to mention not having to snap the ball everytime yourself manually.

so does anyone know if 2005 has a real, true coach only mode?

One of the only problems with that(Either coach only or just snapping the ball for them) is the triple option. If you do not control it, the QB fakes the hand off then just stands there to get creamed. Hope they fixed that.

Ever since I started playing Coach Mode on ESPN I'd hoped that it was in console EA games. I guess we'll see.
