CPU needs more carries

I am an SEC guy so I love the running game and defense. Unfortunately I cannot seem to get the CPU RB to run as much as I would like. I typically carry the ball 35 to 40 times a game on AA. But the CPU might be LSU with Fournette and only run him 10 times the whole game and pass about 35 times. I have tried changing the head coach info sliders and coordinators from left to middle to right 85 / 15, 50/50 and 15/85 and the CPU still only runs about the same amount of time. Right now I have cpu off aggression on 65 / 35 meaning they are aggressive 35 % of the time. So I am stumped.

At this point the only way I know how to fix this is to play offense for both teams.

Are you crushing your opponents, forcing them to pass to try to come back? I've found that with run heavy tendencies (slider to the left) CPU teams run a lot.

Here's my game this season against run heavy Arkansas.

And here's a game against Northwestern where I blew them out (I lost to Arkansas) and NU still tried to pound the rock.

Arkansas's slider is 33 and Northwestern's is 45.

CPU needs more carries

Here are some more examples of the CPU running the ball from my last season. These are teams with the HC's run slider to the left.

Arizona is 37, Miami U 30, Ohio St 35, Minnesota 40, and MSU 45.

Re: CPU needs more carries

It's been my experience that the CPU's tendencies do a good job of following the HC's setting.

For contrast to my running teams, here are some examples of pass heavy coaches.

Yes that is what I am looking for, can you post a pic of the coaches run slider to the left so I can see? I get about the same amount of carries you do , but unless the PC has a QB that runs alot, then the actual RB does not get that many carries, if the QB is not a scrambler, then the PC passes it quite a bit.

I am going to go look at the coach slider right now, do you only control your coach or do you control all the coaches? I use the DB editor and you can control all coaches if you want. Not sure if you do or if that makes a difference.

Also what is your aggressive conservative set to for the cpu head coach? Mine says 65...35

For reference I am looking at arkansas and their run offense / pass offense is 33....67

Here's Arkansas's rushers. Town is the QB and 3 of his 4 carries are sacks. Day and Nicholas are RBs.

Here is Arkansas' HC

I only control Michigan. I play coach mode so I only call my plays and the computer runs them.

I don't control any other coaches. I just use the tendencies that were on my roster (in this dynasty I'm using some 2015 rosters from the roster section) except for a few minor tweaks here and there.

Re: CPU needs more carries

Yes that is what mine says for Ark as well. Maybe it is that I am playing dynasty mode? I mean I have never chosen coach mode it always says regular. Would you leave the sliders as they are for Ark or move theirs to more of a run heavy style than it already is?

Yes I try to have the most realistic sliders I can and the CPU gets 4.5 to 5 ypc, but they only choose to run about 10 times per game though they easily get 4 ypc when they run.

Re: CPU needs more carries

All of my examples are from dynasty games.

You could try to move the slider for games against you, but every time you do this you reset the coach's gained XP for his current level. This could be fixed with the editor though.

You wouldn't want to lower it and leave it because the CPU overpowers extremely run heavy teams in simmed games. This is especially evident with option teams, but even with run heavy pro style teams. With an extreme run ratio, those teams become super powers and rarely lose. Because of that I have a floor of 30 on my ratios and don't let any team be more run oriented than that.
