Like a few of you I wondered if NCAA took a few steps back in terms of gameplay speed this year. Or if the graphics weren't ported correctly.
I don't know the answers to that but I do know that you must have your Xbox correctly set-up to your TV. If you have a widescreen select that. If your TV can have a LetterBox format then set it up to that. However from the looks of it, if you just have a regular TV, (I have a Panasonic Flat Screen projection) then you must get set it up to that in your XBox set-up.
What a differenct that makes. I remember switching to a Letterbox format last year so I could see more of the field in NCAA. Just think of like an avatar that is correct size for OS. Too big and you get jaggies, too small and its blurry and pixelated. Same thing here.
What a freaking difference. Not just in crispness but in gameplay speed. Its at Madden 04 speed. Not as fast as last year but it lost that "stuck in the mud" feeling.
I hope that helps. I don't understand TVs so I don't know what this works to help sluggishness. All I know is that I play on Zoom camera, which shows entire stadiums and crowds. Usually in a videogame if you show even a few rows of the crowd you get a stuttering effect. NCAA 05 is very smooth.
So make sure your XBox System Settings are properly set-up for your TV.
