Next Up School Colors!

Alright, we have made it through name voting and its Golden Canyon Oilers! I'm very excited to get this going, but next up will be the team colors!

To some expected disappointment, powder blue will NOT be used. I know, I know, classic Houston Oilers, and I love it as well. The issue is, my Sonoma State dynasty already uses powder/light blue and white. I want to have a team with a very different color scheme when I play outside of my Sonoma dynasty. Nonetheless, the colors will make sense for this team.

The primary color, OBVIOUSLY, is gold! The rest though, is up to you guys! So, here's the options:

Team Colors Vote

Note: Gold is "athletic gold," AKA yellow! I.E. Mizzou/Iowa

Option 1: Gold/Black- The color of choice by only a few, but the order is inverted. Gold for the gold found in the area and the school name, black for the "liquid gold" oil found in the area! This option not only allows for a set of "gold rush" uniforms (all gold), but a "blackout" option for night games. The colors mix to represent the school and team namesake to become the only Gold/Black color scheme on the West Coast (PAC 12, MWC, even BIG 12 unless I'm forgetting someone).

Option 2: Gold/Green- Gold for the school name and history, green for the landscape in the area. The arid desert landscape sees dark green shrubbery flourish over all the hills. A color scheme that has been adopted by the likes of Oregon and North Dakota State, uniforms would highlight a gold uniform as the primary instead of green.

Option 3: Gold/Blue- A traditional color scheme of California schools, both University of California and Cal State schools alike (although this school is not a CSU/UC school). Bright color options feed a visually stimulating game experience for not only fans at the game but for viewers on TV alike.

Feel free to vote by option # or the colors themselves. I look forward to the outcome. I may need some help from a photoshop guru on here making the logos when its all done!

Ouch! No Powder Blue??? No Oilers logo??? Well, based off what you gave us, black and gold would work great. You could even do a Steeler theme and use the logo on only one side of the helmet!

So one vote for black and gold!

Edit: Here's the Oilers logo using your school colors... how can you not want this? It's here in plain and with a black background so you can see what it would look like on a black helmet.
