Do you play with the D-Pad or Analog stick? I use the D-Pad because I feel I more in control with it. The analog stick feels too loose and floaty. I'd like to hear what other people have to say about it.

I always use the analog stick in sports games, ever since the N64. It just feels like you are in more control. You can backpeddle slowly before the snap without completely turning your player around.

I haven't used the D-Pad since Madden 98. Analog all the way. It is soooooo much better once you get used to it.

for some reason if i play madden or ncaa on ps2 i use the d-pad but for xbox i always use the analog i guess because of the position of the stick.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of how the PS2 analog stick is positioned. It has the perfect button placement, but I rather have the left stick and d-pad switched like it is on Xbox and Gamecube. The stick should be in the primary position.

I'll have to try using the analog stick more. Isn't the D-Pad pressure sensitive?

I have X-Box. I use the analog stick usually because it feels more comfortable and I'm used to it from playing ESPN College Hoops. The problem is my thumb sometimes slips off the stick. And sometimes on runs I miss the hole fumbling with the stick. So on some plays I use the D-pad. But I'm still experimenting.

Analog. D-Pad offers way too little control.
