Two Questions for the Editor folks

In the coaches section there is a "Coach Prestige" column, if i change that to "0" what would the effect be? I am hoping that it effects post-season training results.

The second question I have is what is the "User Controlled" column do? Can i control multiple teams? Not sure what that column would allow me to do..

Thanks in advance

Re: Two Questions for the Editor folks

Not an editor folk, but there's already a discussion going on about the importance rating here: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...have-mean.html

And you can control multiple coaches without the editor. I don't remember 100% how to do it, but I think it's in the "coach info" tab. Go there nd hit R1 (RB on Xbox I believe) and you can create a new coach. Then you set him to either CPU control or human control.

Edit: totally misread your first question, whoops. Gonna leave it there though incase someone was wondering about that

I would suspect it would effect recruiting, at least. Try it out and let us know.

I read not to long ago that prestige effects player progression. It can also effect recruiting, based on pitch, but it would make more sense that it mainly effects player progression. So, it should effect training.

Re: Two Questions for the Editor folks

For PS2, the Coach table under CFUC is the user controlled team. It may be the same for PS3.

Re: Two Questions for the Editor folks

I looked at the coach prestige tab after a couple seasons of simming and noticed all three (HC/OC/DC) had the same prestige and it equaled whatever prestige level the school was. Not sure if it would effect anything to change them, but just figured I'd share a correlation I saw.

Yes, you can user control any team this way. Sometimes I will user control a few teams in the top 25 in the preseason and set their beginning recruiting board for them to try to make sure they go after "realistic" targets (3-5 star players in decent proximity or to make sure they don't have to take walk-ons at any crucial positions). It seems like fewer top recruits fall through the cracks this way and big schools usually stay better.

I have to admit, I've never played with Coach prestige and don't know what it does. You'll have to be the first to experiment and let us know what you find! (Yes, you can user control many teams, as per the instructions already posted above)

Kudos to you, that's dedication! Seems like it takes a bit of time, but definitely helps a lot with realism and continuity. Too many star recruits go unrecruited.
