Online question: Disconnect?

When you are playing someone online and they pull the plug, a screen comes up saying continue against comuter or return to lobby. If you continue the game against the computer do you get your win? I know if you return to the lobby it cancels everything. I ask this because two times I've been beating someone and they pull the plug, I continue against the computer and win the game, but don't get credit for my win. It's not that big of a deal because I'm not concerned with my record or rank, but it is a waste of time to finish the game if you won't get anything for it. I would rather be playing another person than playing the computer, ya know, obviously the point of being online.

Oh this is for XBL by the way if that makes a difference.

I have had someone disconnect from me. I kept playing the game and after, I got the win.

I believe that if they disconnect and you finish the game, the next time they connect to the server, they'll get the loss and you get the win. Or you might just get the win and nothing happens to their record.

Yes you get the win not right away!! I guess the other guy has to reconnect.. Had a joker quit on me last night. I didn't get credited until this morning..
