help with saving a game to flash drive

I am having a problem of being able to save my dynasty to my flash drive so I can transfer it over to the editor. is there a certain format you have to save it in for the ps3 to use it? I downloaded the one the had in the modding section but I cant find anything on the proper format to transfer files in. any help would be appreciated.

First back up all your files on your flash drive if you want to keep them.

Then

Windows: Insert flash drive. Right click on it and choose properties or Format (I forget - it's been a while since I've used Windows) and then Format as Fat 32.

Mac: Use Disk Utility in Utilities to "Erase" and partition it as FAT or FAT32

Make sure you rename the file to not be an .MC02 file before you re encrypt the file and load it up on the ps3.

that's the problem I'm having. I go to rename it and the .mc02 is not there. I'm not understanding that part.
