Can we change the non conference games that are scheduled every year automatically by the game.

For example how Clemson plays South Carolina every year

Is there a way to change that and make custom match-ups every year or are these games just coded into the game?

You can do this in game when creating the schedule. You can randomize the schedule and when you do this it gives you the option to use real life games which is the default. You can turn this off.

I don't know if it'll ignore major rivalry games like Clemson/USCjr, but it definitely ignores other real life non-conference games.

You can change it but yes the rivalries are coded, and little things like Notre Dame playing ACC teams kick in as well.

The Notre Dame/ACC games is 1 scenario that I know you can override.
Here's ND's default 2014 schedule with VT, UNC, Syracuse, Virginia, and Pitt.


This is also the schedule you get when you "regenerate schedule" and have the "use known games" flag set to "yes."

However, if you turn off the "use known games" flag and regenerate schedules you could get something like this:


All of the known ACC games are gone, but rivals Navy, Stanford, and USC are still there.

To answer the OP's question, turning off the "use known games" flag for Clemson does not change the week 14 game against USCjr, so you'd have to change that manually every year.
