#3 team in the nation, but no bowl bid?

Here's a strange thing...I'm playing as Clemson in my dynasty, I'm in year #3 so due to conference schedule rotation I don't play Miami this year. Both of us go 7-1 in the conference, tied for first place, but Miaim has a better overall record so they get first. But they're #1 in the country so they're automatically in the BCS bowl. The week before the SEC championship, LSU is #2 and slated to play Miami. I'm #3...and I'm not in any bowl. Since Miami is #1 in the ACC, I guess the Orange Bowl got thrown out the window for an ACC team, and they list the team BELOW me in the ACC as team #2...since I guess I was tied for first...so I wasn't scheduled to play a bowl at all.

I guess if the season had ended like that, it would of happened, kind of funny. However LSU lost the SEC championship game so now the National Championship is Miami vs. Clemson, 2 ACC teams...lol.

Pointless thread, yea, but just a weird bug in the game I guess.

The bowl projections are just that... projections... Even if things had held and you were No. 3 you'd have been in a bowl.

I saw that situation in ncaa04.

Since you were #3 in the BCS you should've either been an At Large team or gone to the bowl tie in for the ACC. Oh well, the season didn't end like that.

What about this? I was Notre Dame, played all D1-AA teams, went undefeated and was #1. Didn't recieve any bowl bids. No BCS, no nothing. Haha

Well that's what you get for playing as the Irish.

Haha, true. Except usually they are totally overrated and get a bowl bid just for being Irish...

Well they put that in the game too, because in my first season they went 6-5, and went to the Gator Bowl. The got pasted by NC State (big surprise).

That's accurate. You have to have 6 wins vs. D1-A teams to even be eligible for a bowl game. You can count one D1-AA team as a 1-A win once every 4 years, I believe.
