Re: Wow! Turning off HFA...

Won't be able to try it until late tonight, so I have a couple questions:
Does this adjustment only work on Heisman level? Because I'm not that good and prefer to play on varsity.
If I turned HFA off, played on Hesiman, and adjusted sliders way in my favor, would that help?

Do your ratings still drop with hfa turned off? or is it a clean slate across the board.

Re: Wow! Turning off HFA...

I have a question.

If you turn off HFA, what exactly stays, what leaves.

I figured that being composed/rattled is gone, but do you still get the rockin stadium.. If I can still have my rockin stadium, just no composed/rattled stuff I will def turn it off to improve the rest of the game.
Maybe next year we can have our cake and eat it too.

Re: Wow! Turning off HFA...

I don't want to turn HFA off. It's the best part of the game to me. I think it's the biggest difference between 2004 and 2005. I'm dealing with all of the game's flaws by only playing AWAY games and simming all the home games. I only play against the top 25 teams and turn the screen shake on, the vibration on, and the sound as loud as it will go. Then I'm sort of 'rattled' myself and it doesn't bother me when my recievers drop the ball. I just blame it on the crowd. It's like the hostile crowd forces all the player ratings to go out the window. I pretend that the slowdown is just another HFA feature. That might sound crazy to some but I'm enjoying playing the game this way. I played last year's game so many times that I really don't want to go back to it. I don't play the pro games so I guess for me 2005 will be a year on the road.

Well, I tried it and after one game the drops did go down but the crappy CPU QB percentage was still there. Granted I was playing Boise St. at home but I expected a little more. My next game is the National Championship against Miami. I will let you know how it goes.

Re: Wow! Turning off HFA...

Incredible! Thanks for the tip. I'm surprised it took one month for anyone to figure this out. At least I never saw this posted anywhere else.
This has made a huge difference for me, it's like playing an entirely different and MUCH BETTER game.
I played two games on varsity with offensive sliders turned up for human and CPU and I'm getting very realistic passing stats and very few drops.
I'm ready to go to AA now.
This is now looking like the best football game I've ever played.
