should i regress this qb?

qb seems like a confidence driven position. i had a qb turn in one of the greatest true freshman campaigns, throwing 48 td’s to eight interceptions while leading the team to its first national championship appearance in 2030.

the following year, he dropped from heisman contention as quick as he entered.. finished with 31 td’s to 20 picks, i believe. the team finished 6-6 and we signed the no. 1 QB recruit (79 OVR, DT)

the starter is now a 99 ovr, but kind of how it is in madden, i would think his “confidence” would currently be affecting his overall rating. thoughts? and how much of a conversation should the QB battle be with this freshman we’ve now got?

would love some feedback

off the top of my head i know his yardage declined from around 4k to somewhere low in the 3,000’s, percentage from near 70 to 57%. there was a decline in everything, except rushing

Re: should i regress this qb?

I would at least drop his awareness a bit, and maybe even his throw accuracy a few points. However, was it more of an "outside force" that led to his decline? Like did you lose most of your starting linemen from the previous year? I just had something similar happen with my star running back, although not as extreme. He ran for almost 2600 yards and 32 TDs as a JR, lost I believe 3 or 4 linemen, and didn't break 100+ yards for the first half of the season. He also left the second game early with an injury, so I kind of made up a lingering injury story line. You could do some kind of similar story line if you feel it fits, but like I said I would still drop his awareness a tad bit regardless

Don't rush in making a decision.
