Another possible option is to save a separate file just for the spring game. Play it and then go back to a previous file and play your normal schedule as is

I created this post years ago under my second account and haven’t messed with this in a while.
I might have figured a way and I’m going to test it out later.

You can do this in your first season. Go to Preseason and save a spring game file. Open the editor and change your week 0 game to play against yourself. You must control the head coach for this to work. I tried as a coordinator and it froze. You can still be a coordinator for the season but to play yourself you need to control the head coach.

If you want to for actual spring game feel, change the date of your game to April (Month=4) and whatever weekend. For Saturday, set GDAT=5.

After many different experiments I have come to the conclusion that the only way to simulate the spring game in dynasty is Practice. To get the true “Spring Game “ atmosphere, play it in Exhibition mode.
