14 can be picked up around $50 on amazon.
I've spent a lot of time with 10, 13, and 14 the past year. I've spent some time with 11 and 12.
I had the most fun with 10, but that was in part because I went back to an old Dynasty I had not played in years. It was a total blast revisiting that. But I will say I found the atmosphere in 10 to be much better than 14. Honestly 10, 11, and 12 are all pretty close for me in terms of giving me the "feel" of college football between the combination of on the field play, recruiting, and atmosphere.
13 was pretty good in those areas as well. 14 plays a great game on the field, but I felt like some of the changes in recruiting weren't as good. And I don't enjoy the stadium atmosphere as much in 14 as I do the older games. My other big knock on 14 is lack of injuries and lack of penalties.
Now, I will say the customization of 14 is off the charts. It is the easiest game to use in the editor too in addition to the ingame stuff.
Right now I spend most of my time with 14, despite its flaws. But I am also working on setting up a long-term Dynasty with 12.
