Help Me Realign Divisions!

With the news of Texas and Oklahoma about to move to the SEC, I'm really interested in realigning conferences now. Here are my ideas:

SEC West: Arkansas, LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Texas, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt

SEC East: Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi State, South Carolina and Tennessee

Big XII Division A: Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, SMU, Tulsa

Big XII Division B: Baylor, Houston, Memphis, TCU, Tulane, UCF, West Virginia

Pac-12 adds BYU and Boise State

ACC adds Notre Dame and Cincinnati

Re: Help Me Realign Divisions!

I didn't know that news.

Ugh. And this is why college sports is very close to me losing my interest entirely. I've already lost 100% of my interest in the NFL, NHL, MLB, and any other "professional" league. Haven't watched a full game in probably 15 years. All this regular "realignment" - to grab tons of money - is close to killing my interest in the NCAA. College hockey is about the only NCAA sport I regularly watch.

As far as your realignment goes, looks good to me.

Re: Help Me Realign Divisions!

I'd switch out Cinci with WVU in your ACC.

Re: Help Me Realign Divisions!

I wouldn’t switch Cincinnati & West Virginia.
The ACC usually goes for schools that are better on the side of academics, every school in the ACC except 1 in Louisville (192) is a Top 100 program academically.

Cincinnati currently ranks somewhere in the 115-140 depending on which website you look at.

West Virginia on the other hand ranks all the way the way down at 220-260 depending on the Website.

Cincinnati would add a new market (Ohio), they have a good Basketball & Football program and they have a previous “rivalry” with Louisville and could build a rivalry with Pittsburgh. I think West Virginia would be left out in the Cold with the ACC

I don't see any reason to split up the Tennessee and Mississippi schools. I'd switch Vandy and Mississippi State.

WVU has been in talks with the ACC for a bit. That's why I'd switch them out. At this point in time it looks like if the ACC does expand, ND and WVU will be the two.

Re: Help Me Realign Divisions!

Has anyone seen issues where ND won't play conference games when placed into a conference?
